  I loved having Matthew as my prof. He's very passionate about Human Resources which is great. He provides great feedback and shows that he really cares about his students.He does not allow people to continously sit on their phone in class which I found weird at first but I came to appreciate it as it helped me stay focused in class.

  HRES 2170 content is quite boring, so I do not blame him for boring classes. He is a very easy-to-approach professor and gives good feedback when asked for it. He is also a fair marker and wants you to do well in the course.

  He is an alright professor. If you show up to class, you will do just fine. I found him an easy grader, but his tests were a little more challenging. His lectures did tend to get boring at times. My only issue with him is that he can give attitude to students and he walks around questions instead of answering them.

  He is a good professor but also a kind of tough grader. In his class, I have some of the group projects, but your grades will be affected if you are assigned to the wrong people. His tests are quite difficult, and when you want to ask for what you got wrong on the tests, he just pretends he doesn't care much.

  Wasn't my favourite professor, treated the class like we were in high school, and honestly kind of a hard marker. The tests were pretty hard but I still ended with an A, so you can too.

  I got nothing out of Matthews class. I was never comfortable participating because the content was so dry and Matthew did not engage the class. The "final" project guide lines were vague and employee handbooks were not spoken about in class, so to make one it was a shot in the dark (but 25% of your grade).Multiple group projects that were painful

  Matt is a great prof that cares about his students. He always leaves time for students' questions at the beginning, end and in the middle of class. He created a learning environment in that students felt comfortable enough to speak. He's readily available outside of class and always got an email response in 3 hours or less.   Matthew is super nice and his lectures were fun. He was great at explaining things in-depth as well as providing many examples so the material was easier to understand. The exams were definitely difficult but you get all the information needed to study, so make sure you do so! Matt is also funny and probably one of my favourite profs.

  Matt is so nice, and is always willing to help. His lectures were kind of monotonous but he tries to make it bearable with videos, and activities. The group project was long and assigned at random. The tests are hard so be prepared to study and work hard for your grade.

  It was great when it came to asking questions outside of class. Lots of group projects, so that helped with the course load because you were able to split up the assignment. Definitely would take another class he teaches in.

  I found his course to be unnecessarily complex yet somehow vague given that it was an intro. Lectures were somewhat dry, missing a few won't hurt your grade too badly. Group projects can be a complete misery if you're assigned to the wrong people. Isn't receptive to your concerns, gives difficult tests, asks for feedback, but then shuts you down.

  Being that this was a intro level class, he definitely made this course hell. Group project through out the semester, not specific with his expectations. Midterm and final were hard even if you study for it. When he asks for feedback he won't take it into consideration and makes it seem like its your problem. Avoid courses with him.

  Matthew is an overall good guy, but his team assignments can be vague & his lectures are quite dry. I think it's mostly the content he has to teach and not him as a person, but you could miss a few lectures and still do well. I found the midterm questions vague and confusing & hard to follow.

  Definitely would not retake. Matthew isn't clear on what he expects and grades with no feedback and when you ask him, he is very vague and seems to not know how to mark your assignments. He also assigns groups, although I had a great group, he was very nitpicky on our project, even though we fixed what he asked. Super boring lectures. Stay home.

  Exams aren't too difficult, but it is a lot of writing. If you don't understand some of the lecture slides, I suggest reading the text for clarification. He responds to emails fast. He assigns group members so hopefully you get a group just as great as mine. Some had members who didn't show up to the final presentation.

  Lectures are mandatory for participation marks but it would definitely be possible to miss a few and still do well. The only complaint I have is that Matt can be a tough grader especially for group work. I found it easier to do well on the mid term and final than anything else. I recommend that youbuy the text as it is helpful in studying for tests
